The surface of copper wire is coated with an insulating layer to prevent electric shock.

When I plug in my regular Christmas lights, these solar lights turn off, any idea why?

Your Christmas lights may be interfering with the solar panel. It’s got a light sensor on the solar panel. Too much light will mimic daylight and turn them off. Try to reposition the solar panel away from the light of the regular christmas lights.

How long do they take to charge?

The more direct sunlight, the longer they last into the night. During the winter it will last about 3-4 hours. During the summer, it will last about 6-8 hours.

How do you put these on auto work setting?

Once you turn it on, the solar cells charge the battery during daylight hours. Lights automatically turn on when ambient light fades.

Solar fairy lights have 8 different lighting modes (Waves, Combination, Fading, Fireflies, Chasing, Twinkle, Fading slowly, and Steady-on). You can choose different mode according to your own preferences/different occasions.
