Woolly Mammoth 80% Merino Wool Camp Blankets (2-Pack) - Soft Naturally Fire-Resistant and Temperature-Regulating - for Winter Camping Bushcraft and Emergency Car Kits (66 x 90 Slate & Moss)
- Merino Wool Blanket Composition: Soft against your skin but tough against rough outdoor terrain, our 4.3 lbs densely milled camping blankets for cold weather are a blend of 80% recycled merino wool and 20% dual polymer (nylon/polyester) fibers - Regulated Warmth: Merino wool is temperature-regulating, breathable, fire-resistant and moisture-wicking, meaning our winter camping blankets keep you dry in damp conditions. Insulating for sleep, these heavy wool blankets stay warm as your tent gets cold - Soft, Not Scratchy: Our soft wool blankets are tightly spun and have finer fibers than traditional military wool blankets and lambswool. This helps our travel blanket become even softer over time, while staying thick, warm and wind-resistant for bushcraft - Easy Maintenance: Our warm outdoor blankets are stain-resistant, self-cleaning against odors and hand wash only, making maintenance easy for back-packing. Pressed to reduce shedding, use it as an emergency car blanket for winter without having to vacuum - Authentic Smell: As we don't use synthetic odors, our warm camping blankets will have a natural, mild lanolin scent. However, this will fade as they air out in your tent or camper van, leaving our wool blankets for extreme cold with no noticeable scent

Why merino over alpaca and lambswool?
Our thick wool blanket is made from warm and soft 80% recycled Merino Wool. Compared to lamb and alpaca wool blankets, merino is more durable and moisture wicking, making it strong enough to handle rough terrains and camping trips, even in the rain.
What temperature range does it work for?
Perfect for fall, winter and spring, the woolly mammoth wool blanket can handle temperatures as low as 50-60°F. Whether your bushcrafting, overlanding or just out on the patio, our wool couch blanket will keep you warm and dry.
Does it have a strong smell?
Our wool chair blankets will have a lanolin scent when it first arrives. This is natural and normal for higher percentages of wool, but this will fade from your merino wool blanket throw once aired out.
How do I care for it without dry cleaning?
Stain-resistant and self-cleaning against smells, our wool chair blankets are low maintenance. To wash: hand wash with cold water and wool detergent and lay out to air dry away from the sun. Don't have wool detergent? Mild detergents also work!
Will it shrink or shed?
A little shedding can be expected when first opened. However, our wool throw blankets for couches are pressed and blow dried to reduce shedding long term. When washed as directed, our blankets shouldn't shrink due to the elasticity of merino wool.
