Our Story

It's Hawaiian for "dry" and pronounced "mah-loh-oh". Since our first product was the DryRack and we have Hawaiian blood in our veins, we thought the Malo'o would be a perfect name. We are located in Solana Beach, CA and we love the ocean, mountains, and the great outdoors. Our mission is to enable outdoor enthusiasts to enjoy more of what they love to do by developing awesome gear. Whether you love to surf, SUP, snowboard, fish, hunt, camp, hike, or travel the world, Malo’o gear is made for you!

Let's face it, wetsuits are not cheap. We've all tried the changing bags or grass mats or even the DIY solutions and they either don't work or are a challenge to use.

Need something a little more? The integrated mat and bag allow you to change and protect your suit from the hard surface but also includes a 60L DryBag duffle so you can roll it up tight after changing.

No Smell, No Stink, No Wet! Roll up your suit, booties, gloves, hat, and anything else inside and your car will stay dry and stink-free. The Duffle also is great for boating, kayaking or on the river when you're not changing.

Great for camping, RVing or boating to use as a welcome mat, outdoor shower mat, or almost anything else you can think of. Includes a compact mesh bag for easy storage.

How we got our start?

It all started after an early morning surf session when Phil headed off to the office. He forgot about the soaked wetsuit in the back of the SUV and when he returned at the end of the day, the smell was horrific, and the idea for the DryRack was born.

What makes our product unique?

We are a customer-driven company. After our inaugural product, The DryRack was successfully funded on Kickstarter, each of our additional products has been a result of customer input and collaboration. All of our products are designed to be used every day by outdoor adventurers.
