DriDown is natural down insulation treated with a molecular level polymer, creating a hydrophobic finish on individual down plumes. All Sierra Designs down is DriDown, and the result is insulation that stays dry longer, lofts better, and dries faster than untreated down.

The Backcountry Bed ditches a zipper in favor of an oversized, integrated comforter. The comforter features insulated hand/shoulder pockets to seal the whole bag up and let you use the bag like a blanket. You’ll be more comfortable in the backcountry than you are at home. And, it’s side and stomach sleeper friendly.

The Backcountry Bed features our self-sealing foot vent, so you can kick your feet out if you get warm, just like at home. No zippers to fuss with here.

An integrated pad sleeve on the back of the bag accommodates a sleeping pad, and also replaces unnecessary bottom insulation under the shoulders. With the sleeve, you won’t roll off of your pad, and you’ll be able to twist and turn without worry.
