We followed up with the customer and found he was using the high heat setting. This blanket has three heat levels: Low (95°F / 35°C): 3?5 hours; Medium (113°F / 45°C): 1?2 hours; High (131°F / 55°C): 30?60 minutes

No, heating elements focus on the core area. The 200 g/m² high-density polyester filling insulates like a sleeping bag, trapping heat to keep your legs and body comfortably warm even after power cycles off.
